Esko Kongsberg BLD-SR6242(OEM Part Number: G42460964 / 42460964) is a high-performance, carbide (tungsten carbide) round shank vibrating insert specifically designed for Kongsberg digital cutting machines.
Unlike the previously mentioned BLD-SR6224 (cutting depth up to 12mm), which is mainly used for regular cardboard box cutting, the BLD-SR6242 is a special blade designed for shallower, finer cuts and for high-hardness, difficult-to-machine materials .

- High-hardness sealing gaskets : various industrial hard gasket materials.
- Mesh-reinforced graphite/composite materials : Mesh-reinforced graphite sheets are extremely prone to wear down conventional blades, while SR6242 can maintain long-lasting sharpness.
- Medium-thickness rigid sheets : foamed PVC (Forex / Sintra) and rigid plastic hollow sheets with a thickness of less than 8mm.
- Dense honeycomb panels and corrugations : For high-resistance corrugated cardboard with high recycled content and short fibers, shallow cuts within 8mm provide better edge perpendicularity and burr-free results.
