Mimaki Plotter and Vinyl Cutter Replacement Blades
Choosing the right replacement blades for a Mimaki plotter depends on the material thickness and the complexity of your design. Standard Mimaki blades generally use a 0.30mm offset and are available in three main angles, often distinguished by colored caps on aftermarket sets.

Maintenance & Setup Tips
· Blade Depth: The blade should only extend about half the thickness of a credit card from the holder. If you feel more than a slight prick on your finger, it is likely out too far.
· Calibration: Perform a test cut on your media before starting a full project. The blade should cut through the top layer and leave a light score on the backing liner, without cutting through it.
· Replacement: Replace the blade if you notice rough edges, "skipped" spots, or if you find yourself needing to significantly increase downforce to achieve a clean cut.
